Thumper was brought to the Old Mine on the Skarloey Railway to free Bertram from the mine. Thumper is a rather poorly designed vehicle, as his arms cannot pivit and he lacks a front window for his driver to see out of. Thumper tried his best to dig out Bertram, but his efforts were futile, as he was blown up by Mr. M.
