Tensions Emerge is the second episode of Sudrian Conflict.

Plot[]

Thomas has his picture taken for a billboard promoting the North Western Railway. When he goes by the yard and brags to Diesel regarding his accomplishment. Diesel asks why Thomas was chosen for the picture rather than him, Thomas replies that Sir Topham Hatt thinks more highly of steam engines than he does diesel engines.

Meanwhile, Sir Topham Hatt is in a meeting with Rudolph Diesel, the inventor of the diesel locomotive. Try as a might, Mr. Diesel cannot convince Sir Topham to purchase any further diesels. As he is waiting for his train to leave, a flaming coal trucks shoots through the tunnel to the Skarloey Railway and halts on the line nearby. Flynn and the fire department are able to put out the fire and diesel shunts the truck away. When Sir Topham Hatt inquires as to what happened, Rudolph Diesel further disparages Sir Topham's railway while also telling him the truck came from the tunnel. Sir Topham Hatt departs to confront Mr. Percival about the incident.

When he arrives at the Skarloey Railway, Sir Topham Hatt begins to blatantly blame a clueless Mr. Percival for sending the flaming truck to his railway. Mr. Percival denies doing this, much to Sir Topham's suspicions. As he attempts to leave, Sir Topham Hatt finds his car crashed into the same cow pasture in which King Maron's statue had been drug two days before.

Two days later, Sir Topham Hatt supervises the unloading of his new car. Diesel and Rudolph also look on ominously.
