The Quarry is a location on the North Western Railway where gravel is mined, perched above the yards and the sea.
History[]
Bill once came to shunt trucks, when he was instructed to move a truck from one siding to another. Unknown to him, a blast occurs, leaving the siding exposed to the sea. He shunts the truck into that siding, with him dangling precariously above the sea. The workmen and Mavis can only watch as Bill slips into the sea below. A similar incident later happened with Nelson. The quarry mainly served as the main meeting place for the Blockade Committee, until it was moved to the Sodor Dieselworks. Simon Johnson and his various followers would scheme her and watch over Sodor from atop the cliff.
